"Poppin" is a song by British YouTube personality and rapper KSI, featuring American rappers Lil Pump and Smokepurpp. It was released on March 27, 2020 as the third single from KSI's debut album Dissimulation.

The song was released through RBC Records, under BMG Rights Management, on the 27th March 2020 as a third single of KSI's album Dissimulation [1].

The song entered the UK Singles Chart at 43. It dropped to 56 the following week before dropping out of the top 100. The song also spent two weeks on the UK R&B Singles Chart, peaking at 23 [2].


KSI announced the upcoming release of a new single via his social media on the 18th March, 2020. On the same day, he posted the song's artwork which revealed the title of the track and its features. The song was also made available for pre-order.

In a Genius Verified video interview, released on 8 May 2020, KSI explained the song's lyrics and meaning.

A audio visualiser was released on 27 March, 2020 followed by the Official Music Video on 3 April, 2020. The music video was filmed in March of 2020 in Los Angeles and directed by TajvsTaj.


KSI announced via social media that he was hosting a competition called the #PoppinChallenge on the 30 March, 2020. He asked people to create their own verse for the song and the best would be decided by public vote.

The winner's verse would replace Lil Pump's verse in a remix of the song which would then appear in the deluxe edition of Dissimulation.

On 17 April, 2020, American YouTube rapper Crypt was announced as the winner of the challenge by KSI in a video uploaded to his second YouTube channel. The remix was released on 25 May, 2020 as part of the deluxe edition of Dissimulation.
